2nd Collection for Tornado Relief

As a community that is all too familiar with the devastation a severe tornado can bring, our heart and prayers go out to all those affected by the tornadoes in Oklahoma this past week. In order to help the victims of this tragic event we will be having a 2nd Collection at all Masses this weekend. The money will be sent to St. Andrew the Apostle Church in Moore, Oklahoma, to be used to help the victims. Thank you in advance for your generosity. Checks should be made payable to St. Mary Immaculate Parish, with a note on the check indicating “Oklahoma Relief”. Thank you!

St. Mary's now offers Online Giving! Convienient. Easy. Secure.

To access Online Giving, click on the logo on the top left of the sidebar.

With our new Online Giving website, your donations can be made automatically from your checking, savings, or credit card account(s) into the parish bank account. This new program offers significant improvements and greater flexibility over our previous ACH/Credit Card program. You can choose your donation dates, types and frequencies, as well as enter multiple payment methods.

When you access the online giving website the first time, you will need to create a personal account. At the SMI Online Giving home page, you can use the “Create New Account” option on top, or the “Sign up for a New Account” option on the right side. There is a “Watch Help Video” link which shows a brief tutorial on creating a new account...

2nd Annual SMI 5K and Kids 2K - Results

On a brisk Saturday morning, May 11th, over 300 runners won the race. They participated in the 2nd Annual SMI 5K and Kids 2K Run/Walk.

The 5K overall male winner was Clark Anderson of Romeoville with a time of 17:45.7. The 5k overall female winner was Janeth Salazar-Ohst of Naperville with an overall time of 19:45.3. She finished 7th overall.

James O’Bryan of Plainfield won the Kids 2k race in a time of 8:39.0. Plainfield’s Valentina Fazio was the female 2K winner with a time of 9:37.1. She finished 5th overall.

Free Blood Pressure Screening - May 19

A Free Blood Pressure Screening is available on Sunday, May 19 in the Parish Gym. Stop by anytime between 8:00 am and 12:00 noon. Please contact Pat Mander, Parish Nurse, at 815-436-2651 ext 893 with any questions.

Your Garage Sale Contributions and Your Help Are Appreciated

We will be collecting items during all four weekends in May on Saturdays from 3:30 p.m. to 5:30 p.m. and Sundays from 7:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. Volunteers will be at the trailer near the parish garage to receive your donations.
